There are many ways that we recall significant moments in life – one of the key ways in which we do this is through photography. The first permanent photograph was invented in 1822 and since then we’ve seen various types of cameras that allow us to capture moments in our lives – Polaroid, 35MM, and now Digital. In fact, the pictures you'll see here were taken with my new SmartPhone.

Photographic memories don’t just need to be about family occasions, or celebrations, or kids growing up – they can also be about capturing images that we find interesting or beautiful.

Water Falls

This picture is of one of the waterfalls along the Outlet Trail in Penn Yan, NY.  My sister Luella, our friend Mandi, and were hiking the trail and stopped to snap a few pictures.

This is a wider shot of the same waterfall.  It allows you to grasp the scenery around the falls that make them so beautiful and serene.  In the bottom corner you can see my sister and our friend looking out over the barriers to the falls.
