There are many ways that we recall significant moments in life – one of the key ways in which we do this is through photography. The first permanent photograph was invented in 1822 and since then we’ve seen various types of cameras that allow us to capture moments in our lives – Polaroid, 35MM, and now Digital. In fact, the pictures you'll see here were taken with my new SmartPhone.

Photographic memories don’t just need to be about family occasions, or celebrations, or kids growing up – they can also be about capturing images that we find interesting or beautiful.

Views of Keuka Lake

This is a picture of a serene sunset on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes, NY.  I recall that it had been a rainy and dreary day the rain stopped but the clouds had lingered in the sky creating a picturesque sunset.

This is essentially the same view -- except it was taken in autumn, a very beautiful time of year in the Finger Lakes.  You can't see them very well but at the bottom of the pic those little brown specs are actually a line of turkeys crossing the field.
